Brian is an experienced Criminal defense trial lawyer who is motivated by standing up for the wrongfully accused. He zealously advocates for his clients to achieve the best possible result including numerous dismissals. Brian uses his extensive knowledge of the Criminal Justice system to argue on behalf of his clients in bail hearings, pre-trial conferences, motion practice, pre-trial evidentiary hearings, trials, appeals, and post-conviction relief or habeas corpus proceedings.
Brian began his career clerking for a Criminal Judge in the Superior Court of New Jersey. In that position he learned from the inside how judges look at and decide criminal cases. Following his clerkship, Brian took his judicial experience and went to work as a prosecutor in the Bronx District Attorney’s Office one of the nation’s largest and busiest prosecutor’s offices. During his time as a Bronx Assistant District Attorney, Brian handled thousands of criminal cases ranging from misdemeanors and felonies, and learned how to quickly analyze a case’s strengths and weaknesses. This skill affords Brian the ability to expeditiously advise client’s of their options and provide them with the appropriate guidance through the often opaque Criminal Justice system. Brian has the experience to bring a good outcome to someone who is facing both serious or minor criminal charges throughout New York City including the Bronx, Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens, as well as Westchester County Court and the Westchester towns of White Plains, Yonkers, Rye, Port Chester, Mamaroneck, Bronxville, Scarsdale, Harrison, Rye Brook, and New Rochelle.
Brian has tried several cases to successful verdicts and negotiated hundreds of plea deals. He has handled a vast array of criminal cases including Narcotics Possession, Narcotics Distribution, Weapons Possession, Firearms, Assault, Assault with a Weapon, Robbery, Burglary, Grand Larceny, Trespass, Resisting Arrest, Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), Driving With a Suspended License, Prostitution, Rape, Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, and Child Abuse. Brian has also managed numerous pre-arrest investigations ranging from Sexual Assault to Child Abuse to Grand Larceny.
After years as a prosecutor, Brian took his experience into private practice where he is admitted to New York and New Jersey’s state and federal courts. In addition to his criminal cases, Brian works on civil cases including police brutality, false arrest, and excessive force. Prior to his legal career, Brian received a bachelor’s degree in Government with a concentration in International Relations from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. Following his graduation from Wesleyan Brian worked in Sports and Entertainment for some of the most successful organizations in the industry. He later earned his law degree from American University Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C.
